Chemical Engineer

This is a perfect opportunity for an experienced Chemical Engineering professional to make a big impact on a small company. This hands-on position will bridge the gap between our chemists and production. Working directly with our Manufacturing Manager and closely with R&D, primary responsibilities will be process development engineering for advanced material and chemical products emphasizing process optimization, production and productivity. Responsibilities include the design, planning, testing, building, prototyping, scheduling, roll out and scale up processes, along with operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting production and laboratory equipment. A strong focus on EH&S is required. Other duties may include: lab analysis activities; design of experiments; adhere to standard scientific methods; work with core processes and evaluate variables; productivity projects and data collection. As an early stage technology company, this opportunity will allow you to demonstrate skills over a broad spectrum of responsibilities enabling individual growth, challenge, and continuous variety.

A bachelor’s or master’s in chemical engineering is required. The ideal candidate will be a creative, detail oriented person with strong communication, organization, and team working skills. Research and analysis skills are essential. Basic mechanical ability and desire is required. You must be familiar with general lab and production procedures, be computer savvy (Excel), and have respect for safety and environmental concerns within the realm of current chemistry and technology.
